Alfred is a mobile app that's turning smartphones into surveillance cameras. The app was only founded around 2 years ago by Renee Yeh and Alex Song and is currently a 500startups company.
The idea was for people to turn their unused smartphones into a surveillance camera instead of having to buy hardware. The product is target to a large audience world wide of parents, pet owners, small business owners and anyone with home security demands.
Alfred’s aspiration is to become the world’s most multi-functional app for smart homes. Down the road they are looking to implement things such as connection to a/c, lightning control, door lucks, and other smart home appliances from tv, to smart watches and more.
