Alfred is a mobile app that's turning smartphones into surveillance cameras. The app was only founded around 2 years ago by Renee Yeh and Alex Song and is currently a 500startups company.
The idea was for people to turn unused smartphones into surveillance cameras instead of buying hardware. The product targets a large audience worldwide: parents, pet owners, small business owners, and anyone with home security demands.
Alfred’s aspiration is to become the world’s most multi-functional app for smart homes. Down the road, they are looking to implement things such as connection to a/c, lighting control, door locks, and other smart home appliances from tv, to smartwatches and more.
