Tim Young moved out to San Francisco to work on software such as SocialCast and about.me. What he found was the need for a Powerpoint presentation format that was short and straight to the point for clients.

He highlights the importance of understanding the investor's perspective. By classifying your investor into one of three categories, product, financial, and team, you can isolate what to focus on in your presentation to appeal to them.

He then goes into creating an example slide deck which is short and sweet, including just five slides. With these five slides you should be able to outline your company's idea without going too deep into technicalities or get into a rambling mode that will lose the attention of your audience.
